Our traditional Parkhotel Pörtschach 4*S with its 1960s design impresses above all with its unique location directly on Lake Wörthersee. We welcome young couples, families, seminar and business guests as well as long-standing regular guests. Our guests not only enjoy the view of the landscape, but also the culinary delights in our own hotel restaurant with lakeside terrace. Our hotel also offers a wellness area and its own beach with a beach bar.

Your tasks
- Your apprenticeship with us at the Parkhotel Pörtschach will last 4 years (double apprenticeship) with a detailed training plan where you can read exactly what you will learn with us.
- During your apprenticeship, you will have a contact person at your side who will support and advise you.
- The most important tasks that await you in service are selling food and drinks, including advising our guests, setting tables and banquets for special events such as weddings or birthdays, putting together menus and billing.
- You will also gain an in-depth insight into our large hotel kitchen – from the creative preparation of meals and desserts, purchasing and costing to creating duty rosters and menu processes.
- Your workplaces will be the hotel’s own restaurant, the lakeside terrace and the beach restaurant as well as our hotel kitchen.
- You will be able to demonstrate your sales talent and charm to guests.
- You will immerse yourself in the world of numbers and billing at the table.
- Of course, you’ll also have to work at weekends – but you’ll have every other weekend off, so you can plan your free time well in advance.

You work with our creative head chef, our pastry chef or our service master and can gain a lot of experience.
Free cleaning of your work clothes
To give you more free time, we take care of cleaning your work clothes. There is a washing machine and dryer available in the staff building for the rest of your laundry.
Free training courses
We offer you ongoing training and further education, such as filleting, safety in the kitchen but also the correct use of social media.
Insights into other hotels
We are 4 hotels in the List Group in Vienna, Tyrol and Carinthia: Once a year, you have the opportunity to gain an insight into a different hotel restaurant.
Apprentice dinner
Be service manager for a day and organize a dinner with the other apprentices in the hotel, from menu preparation to shopping and cooking. You can invite your loved ones.
Joint activities
such as a welcome event, end-of-season party, joint excursions or the final trip for apprentices.
Wörthersee Team Card:
The Wörthersee Team Card is available to you, which gives you a variety of discounts in the region (lido, boat trips, Pyramidenkogel and much more).
Matura exam
You have the opportunity to complete your Matura during your apprenticeship.
Fair and punctual pay
Salary depending on collective agreement/apprenticeship year from € 1,050 in the 1st year of apprenticeship
