Lakeside hotel in a peninsula location
The Parkhotel Pörtschach, in its unique peninsula location in the middle of the Wörthersee in Carinthia, was designed by the architect Kurt Köfer and first opened its doors in the summer of 1963. This distinctive holiday and conference hotel looks like a cruise ship on the lake and even at that time was one of the most significant hotel buildings for the modern tourist industry around the Wörthersee.
With a great deal of loving care and sympathetic renovation work, the original appearance of many parts of our lakeside hotel, and interior design features such as the dining room, reception area, lobby, hotel bar, lift and stairwells, have been preserved unchanged, creating a unique ambience for our guests in Carinthia.
